2019 FPT Software Philippines 5th Annual Yearend Party

The 12th of December 2019, 6-10PM, was a memorable day for FPT Software Cebu. It was the much awaited 5th Annual Yearend Party held in the Jimei Room of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. The event organized by HR, hand-in-hand with the different committees, was hosted by Mr. Nim Langcoy for the business part of the program, and Mr. Rommel Iran and Ms. Linil Mae Sevillano for the entertainment part of the evening.
Management personnel from Vietnam and Canada flew in to attend the annual event. In attendance were FSoft Ho Chi Minh Manager, Mr. Le Hoai Bao; FSoft Global Workforce Recruitment Director, Ms. Ta Thi Kim Ngan; FSoft Ho Chi Minh Vice President, Mr. Le Thanh Nhan; and Global Solutions Engineering, RICOH Canada, Inc. Vice President, Mr. Tom Haapanen.

The program started with an invocation sung live by Carl James Ambowang, Fredan Langgam, Jessica Pacilan, and Floraldeah Moralde followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.
Managing Director Ralf Jay Daro Mosqueda formally opened the program with an introduction of guests who were each called to the floor, receiving a garland, and who was to lead the ceremonial toast with Mr. Mosqueda ending the formal opening of the program. Ms. Ta Thi Kim Ngan and Mr. Le Than Nhan were to give a customer address afterwards.

The business part of the program ended with the recognition of Employees and Team of the Year. (Read separate article) Dinner was served on the table thereafter.
But this yearend party was to be a showcase of talents by its employees. So, while everyone took delight of their meal, members of the Music Club serenaded the crowd in the following order of performance: Mark Anthony Racal, Carl James Ambowang, Yesre Reyes and Mary Rose Magpatoc, Dana Mae Baynas, Julie Ann Bandejas and Camilo Lopez Jr., Gina Talingting, Jessica Pacilan, and Fredan Langgam. The serenade ended with an all-singer’s performance to the music of “Star ng Pasko” (Star of Christmas).
Opening Salvo to the Lip Sync Battle
The climax of the night was the most awaited Lip Sync Battle with opening salvo by Sherry Jane Menchavez, Carl James Ambowang, JR Rasonable, and Princess Mae Wahing. Eight teams competed against each other for the Grand Prize of P15,000. (Read article on “FPT Software Philippines Artsy Year-Ender 2019”) During the lip sync battle, the showcase of talents did not cease for in between performances were the dance performance of JR Rasonable and Princess Mae Wahing and the live song performance of Sherry Jane Menchavez and Angeline Ygrubay with Rexon De Los Reyes, Jestoni Pag-iwayan, and Jesse Rommel Mataganas on guitar.
Spotted as the best dressed all through the night as chosen by the crowd were Rommel Iran and Mary Rose Magpatoc.
But just as everyone thought the night was over, the Board of Managers astounded everyone with a surprise number. The managers rocked the world in their all-out performance of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name.” Resource Assurance Manager Mr. Alexander Maniquiz banged the drums, General Affairs Manager Mr. Ronald Tio kept cool with the guitar. The lady managers Marie Yad-El Tallo (HR), Ivy Blanche Lasula (Finance), Grace Unson (Project), and Kamrayza Magao (Business Analysis) endearingly back-up danced. But the surprise of it all, Managing Director Ralf Jay Daro Mosqueda went high strumming the guitar to the floor and Mr. Ed Rian Rieta (Test Manager) went wild in his pretend vocals.
It was an evening of “Black and Gold.” Black for elegance and gold for everything and everyone who sparkled and shined that night with their presence and talents. Hard work and anticipation were evident in everyone, thereby making FPT Software Philippines 5th Annual Yearend Party a night to remember.
A Special Thanks to the 2019 Year-End Party Committee Members from the Delivery Team: Nim Langcoy, Sherry Jane Menchavez, Jessica Pacilan (Program); Ana Mae Fano, Novejane Cape, Dwingie Nikko Illustrisimo (Décor); Kamrayza Magao, Gretchen Leyson, Van Vincent Dela Cruz (Documentation).
