AWS DevDay Vietnam 2017

What is AWS DevDay?

AWS DevDay is a free, full-day technical event where new and experienced developers will learn how to develop on AWS by using AWS SDK and web services. Technical sessions will help participants know how to develop applications to run on containers and also to adopt Serverless application model (SAM) on AWS.

Speakers will also share various DevOps tools available on AWS that enable continuous integration and delivery. Attendees will be able to apply and practice what they learn from this event through guided labs.

Join us for technical sessions, live demos, and networking with AWS technical experts and your peers.

AWS SDKs

AWS provides SDK and services for developer to provide full control over your AWS resources and convenience of usability. In this session, we’ll explore overall appearance of AWS SDK. We’ll look at SDK for PHP, Python, .NET, Ruby and so forth as well as the SDK's ability to support various mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. We’ll also look at how to use its features to build your applications with AWS services when you start development with AWS SDK by introducing a step-by-step demonstration.

After this session, you should understand and be able to: configure your application project for development, connect to AWS services, manage resources and how to use more advanced AWS services for developers.

Getting Started with Serverless and X-Ray

Serverless architectures let you build and deploy applications and services with infrastructure resources that require zero administration. In the past, you had to provision and scale servers to run your application code, install and operate distributed databases, and build and run custom software to handle API requests. Now, AWS provides a stack of scalable, fully-managed services that eliminates these operational complexities.

In this session, developers will learn about the benefits of serverless architectures and the basics of the serverless stack AWS provides. We will also walk through how you can use serverless architectures for everything from data processing to mobile and web backends.

AWS Xray

In this session, developers will learn about AWS X-Ray and how it helps developers analyze and debug production, distributed applications. They will understand how AWS Xray can help them identify and troubleshoot the root cause of performance issues and errors. (demo)

DevOps on AWS – Accelerating Software Delivery

Today, small software teams have the ability to disrupt big markets as more and more businesses start to deliver their products as-a-service. The ability for teams to respond to customers and innovate quickly is their key differentiator.

In this session, we would discuss DevOps - its key practices, processes, tools on AWS and we’d like to introduce a major new addition to our Developer Tools suite, AWS CodeStar - the central experience to launch development projects on AWS. We will provide a demonstration of how you can use CodeStar to set up an end-to-end software development and continuous delivery toolchain within minutes. (demos)
