AI Lab Manager

Job Description

• As an AI research laboratory manager, your duties are to oversee scientific operations in the AI research lab. Your responsibilities may involve facillitating necessary infrastructure and computing resource for researchers, managing human resource and research projects, maintaining workflow so that research activities meet deadlines and benchmarks.

• Coordinate and oversee scientific operations in AI Lab for AI scientific projects.
• Document and keep up with project status, develop monthly/quarterly/yearly research reports and present to management for review.
• Supervise lab staffs to execute projects within allotted budget and timelines.
• Stay current with latest developments in lab techniques and technologies.
• Define AI Research strategy for the laboratory, set up research directions and goals for AI Lab.
• Ensure that lab procedures comply with high quality standards.
• Require working with vendors to ensure supplies and services fit within the operations.
• Manage internal computing resource and human resource.
• Assess potential risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
• Provide assistance and conduct trainings to team members when needed.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
• Maintain inventory control of laboratory equipment, tools and computing resource.

Job Qualifcation
• Minimum 7 years of experience in research position.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electronic Engineering or equivalent and above
• Have experience in publishing papers.
• Knowledge of network programming, infrastructure and operation architecture.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the latest architecture, technology, solutions, and industry trends.
• Fluency in English (TOEIC 600+ or equivalent).
• Good writing and reporting skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good presentation & communication skills: Ability to translate and clearly formulate technical issues
• Project/Engagement/team management skills
• Positive and constructive minded.
