AWS Developer

Job Description

In the role of AWS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality business solution for NTT Singapore Solution Pte Ltd and its clients. Combination of on-site/offsite low-level requirements gathering, understanding client’s needs, and working with the architects to come up with a viable solution.

Responsibilities
• Report to Development Lead
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.
• Provide level 2 and 3 support to business users.

Job Qualification
• 3-5+ years work experience with the following platform, programming language and tools:
• Understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practices
• Proficiency in developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS
• In-depth knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, preferred node.js
• Ability to use the AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to write applications
• Ability to identify key features of AWS services
• Understanding of the AWS shared responsibility model
• Understanding of application lifecycle management
• Ability to use a CI/CD pipeline to deploy applications on AWS
• Ability to use or interact with AWS services
• Ability to apply a basic understanding of cloud-native applications to write code
• Ability to write code using AWS security best practices (e.g., not using secret and access keys in the code, instead using IAM roles)
• Ability to author, maintain, and debug code modules on AWS
• Proficiency writing code for server less applications
• Understanding of the use of containers in the development process
• Relevant AWS Certification will be added advantage.
