Cloud Chief Officer

Job Description

• FPT Software is seeking Chief Technology Officer for Center of Expertise (CoE). As a CTO, you will lead our Product, Data Science and Engineering teams to deliver world-class services. Your role will focus on the following 5 key areas:
• Being the main customer facing point of contact for all cloud project and consulting work;
• Being a great team leader: Leading and driving the direction of Cloud CoE team. Using your management skills to build a culture of energy, focus and high performance. Supporting team members to grow their skills and develop their careers at FSOFT. Inspiring team to give their very best.
• Contributing to organization-wide plans: Providing technical vision and input to guide organisation-wide plans and strategy. Sharing your technical knowledge and experience to enhance executive decision making. Owning the product roadmap to make our product the most valuable to our customers.
• Providing high-level technical support: Using your technical skills to support the team in making complex and difficult technical decisions. Acting as a role model for young and ambitious engineers.
• Building up the product, data science and engineering team: Planning the structure of the product, data science and engineering teams in 6 – 12 months ahead.

Job Qualification
• Develop and implement Methodology and framework with Delivery;
• Build Cloud CoE team, oversee CoE functions;
• Establish strategic partnerships with solution vendors;
• Innovate and incubate Cloud Solutions and Service Offerings;
• Create and maintain Information Technology & Management strategies in line with the business needs and in keeping up with current / ahead of best practices;
• Ensure Information Technology and Management are in-line with agreed strategy and policy from top management, directly from the board;
• Develop new security strategies to manage emerging risks in Cloud & agile/DevSecOps operating environments;
• Collaborate with team members and top management to deliver development strategy, governance, security, and data analytics;
• Manage the relationships with external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts;
• Be the Ownership of the annual information technology capital and operational expense budgets;
• Develop the information technology team, working to plan and priorities their workloads, set objectives, conduct appraisals and supported to continually improve their performance and results.

Job Qualification
• Experience of consulting or service provider roles (internal, or external);
• Deep knowledge in popular Cloud platform: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud – one or more. Get trained / certified architect – e.g. Amazon Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional Level is preferable.
• In depth understanding of security, large-scale & high-performance system design & implementations, operation tuning in the cloud. Certified in one or more cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba) is required. Multiple certs across two or more cloud ecosystems is a big plus.
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud into tradition hosting/delivery models;
• Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques (on premise to Cloud Platforms);
• Good familiarity with the disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration & release management, source code & version controls, and operational considerations such as monitoring and instrumentation;
• Strong knowledge on software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum;
• Have a focus on getting the job done and done properly;
• Be willing to learn, grow and stretch into new roles and different industries/domains;
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent presentation and facilitation skills;
• Knowledgeable of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud native scripting such as CloudFormation and ARM templates;
• Knowledgeable of scripting with one or more: YAML, JSON, PowerShell, BASH or Python;
• Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration and management platform e.g., OpenShift or equivalent implementation;
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus.
• Excellent communication & documentation skills to articulate the solution architecture and roadmap at executive levels.
