Cloud Engineer

Job Description

You are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high load cloud services as a senior developer within a dedicated team.
• You prepare customer-orientated solutions using Pair Programming on a cloud-based platform.
• You establish a continuous-delivery toolchain, prepare automated tests and develop infrastructure as code.
• You build it, you run it! You are responsible with your team for the operation of solutions generated by yourselves.
• You, your team, the Scrum Master and the Product Owner work with agile methods on new ways to improve your collaboration.

Job Qualification

Required:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Experience: Senior level in software development.
• Working location: Europe, capable of flying to customer’s site from time to time.
• We are looking for people with experience in the following:
– AWS or Azure experience.
– Container Services (Docker, Kubernetes)
– Scripting languages and IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef)
– Basic network concepts.
• Bring the full DevOps mindset into table, ensuring that services are designed for easy deployment and troubleshooting.
• be able to create a full cloud service from scratch
• Flexibility to work with multiple technologies in multiple abstraction layers.

Nice to have:
• Experience with Operating Systems (Windows and Linux) is a plus.
• Experience with AWS services (this is a plus).
• Experience with Chef is a plus.
• Good skills in algorithms and troubleshooting are a plus.
• Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Willing to travel.
