Job Description

Project Background

The scope is to collocate Apps with R&D team for Gecko, ZentriOS & DMS products (aka fixed function, interface) for the best the customer experience. This including:

  • Own customer support for Gecko, ZentriOS & DMS products this including: Salesforce, Forums, Escalations but excluding Quality Incidents
  • Create some example assigned by Customer
  • Own the meetings for support and scrum


  • Respond to customer questions through the SalesForce support management portal and Silicon Labs online community in English
  • Occasional conference calls requiring spoken English
  • Synchronize the work with internal FAEs to cover different customer enquires
  • Write demo/example apps during the support process that help customers understand different APIs or execution flows
  • Reproduce customer issues on development or customer hardware
  • Use PC tools and scripting languages such as Python, Postman, Curl, etc. to investigate
  • Review custom PCB schematics and suggest hardware rework/modifications
  • Interface with R&D on behalf of customers
  • Provide solutions for customers issues either through writing code or proposing workarounds for bugs
  • Help R&D prioritize issues based on customer urgency/need (with the exception of ZentriOS)
  • Verify customer issues are resolved in a particular software release from the R&D team (with the exception of ZentriOS)


  • Knowledge of electrical or computer engineering fundamentals and methodologies
  • Experience with and a positive attitude towards providing technical support to customers over email/written formats
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks within the same day
  • (Software) Strong high-level programming language proficiency (C/C++)
  • (Software) scripting language proficiency (Python, Postman, Curl, etc.)
  • (Hardware) Basic analog and digital circuit analysis skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug software, electronic systems, circuits, and devices
  • Great attention to detail, including professional written correspondence and documentation with minimal grammatical and spelling errors
  • Familiarity with quality procedures and documentation
