Job Description

The Data Engineer will go to work onsite in Germany for long term, or short term of 3 months then come back to Vietnam and work as long term for FPT Software.
Needed for projects:
• Design and implement data pipelines (with data ingestion, integration, transformation, and provisioning) for production and logistics use-cases
• Data visualization
• Self-Service BI applications (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, and others)
• Other Customer’s IT tools & applications (e.g., Java applications, SAP-BW, etc.)
• Data analytics tools & environments (e.g., Databricks, Jupyter notebooks, etc.)
• Machine learning applications (Python and others)
• Willing to Travel

Job Qualifications

Technical skills:

• At least 2 years of professional usage of Python (or Java), SQL and stored procedures
• Experience in GIT, JIRA, Confluence
• Hands-on experience in Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP
• Experience with any of the following is a strong plus:
o Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, Databricks
o Databases: e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Stardog, Neo4J, Cassandra
o Hadoop Ecosystem: Spark/HDFS/Hive/Sqoop/Flume/Pig
o Containers: Docker/Kubernetes

Professional skills:

• Education and experience in SW Development & SW Engineering best practices
• Hands-on experience in programming, data modelling, and database systems
• Experience in batch & stream data integration and processing
• Good communication skills and agile mindset
• Experience with any of the following is a strong plus:
• Knowledge of Data Virtualization concepts and tools
• Knowledge of Big Data & Analytics technologies

Certificates/Trainings:

• Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable education
• Advanced communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• English certificate like TOIEC, Cambridge, TOEFL with at least level B2
• Prove fluency and ability to communicate in a structured and understandable way in phone interview
