Responsibilities
• We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of functional safety standards and practices, particularly in the automotive or industrial sectors. This role involves providing expert advice, developing safety strategies, and supporting the implementation of safety-critical projects.
• Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses for systems and components.
• Develop and review safety plans, safety cases, and safety requirements.
• Provide expert advice on functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and others.
• Support the design and implementation of safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct safety audits and assessments to identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry developments and emerging safety technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and management.
Job Qualifications
Must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in functional safety or a related field.
• Strong understanding of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Nice to have:
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with safety-critical systems in the automotive or industrial sectors.
• Certification in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer).
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
