JOB OVERVIEW
• As a Java Tech Lead, you will lead a team of developers, driving the design and development of high-quality web-based solutions using Java technologies. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands-on involvement in tasks to ensure successful project execution. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, including Japanese customers, you will play a critical role in translating business requirements into robust technical solutions while maintaining high standards of communication and collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and drive the adoption of modern development methodologies.
• Support team members in problem-solving and skill development to enhance overall team capabilities.

Technical Design and Development:
• Architect, design, and develop scalable and secure web applications using Java technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java EE).
• Perform hands-on coding and troubleshooting to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Integrate third-party APIs, optimize system performance, and ensure application scalability and reliability.

Customer Collaboration:
• Adapt communication styles to effectively interact with customers, ensuring smooth collaboration and mutual understanding.
• Incorporate customer feedback to continuously improve application functionality and user experience.

Documentation and Standards:
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
• Promote adherence to coding standards, non-functional requirements, testing protocols, and security best practices across the development lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in web application development using Java frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Java EE.
• Experience working with Japanese customers or familiarity with Japanese business culture is highly desirable.

Technical Expertise:
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and micro-services architecture.
• Proficiency in front-end integration with frameworks like Angular or ReactJS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and tools like Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Leadership and Communication Skills:
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Japanese language proficiency and working experience with Japanese customers is a plus but not mandatory.

Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively with Japanese stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Certifications in Java or related technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer).
