Job Brief

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
• The ADAS Validation Engineer is primarily supporting a newly created System Validation service offering. Sensors can be radar, camera as well as Lidar. As an ADAS Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of advanced driver assistance systems integrated into vehicles.
• Your primary responsibility will be to design, execute, and analyze validation tests for ADAS features. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and test engineers, to ensure that ADAS functionalities meet regulatory requirements and performance expectations.
• The role can be based in Daegu and will need to travel overseas sometimes.

• Develop test plans and procedures for validating ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, and others.
• Design and execute validation tests in both simulated and real-world driving environments to verify the functionality, performance, and robustness of ADAS systems.
• Analyze test results and identify potential issues or areas for improvement in ADAS algorithms, hardware components, or integration with vehicle systems.
• Work closely with software developers to debug and resolve issues found during validation testing, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ADAS features.
• Collaborate with regulatory compliance teams to ensure that ADAS functionalities meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 26262.
• Develop automated test scripts and tools to streamline the validation process and improve test coverage.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to provide input on the design and implementation of ADAS features from a validation perspective.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ADAS technology, industry trends, and regulatory updates to continuously improve validation methodologies and practices.

Job Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• An advanced degree is preferred for a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in automotive software validation, particularly in the area of ADAS or autonomous driving systems.
• Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN) and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., CarSim, Simulink) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in ADAS systems.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with regulatory standards such as ISO 26262 and automotive safety processes is a plus.
• Korean Topik 5+ or English Intermediate +
