Job Description

Develop Customer TV (streaming application) on Roku devices:
• Maintain, develop features (including UI features) for direct stream app on Roku devices base on provided specifications.
• Write code and unit tests that are understandable and maintainable and with good performance
• Debug effectively within the primary area to help find root cause
• Provide helpful, timely code reviews
• Collaborate professionally with teammates and peers
• Communicate with engineering precision, escalating blockers quickly, clarifying requirements and sharing assumptions

Job qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent understanding of computer science fundamentals and development best practices
• 6+ years of professional experience working with and staying current in the latest advances in web and mobile technologies, highly preferred
• Have significant software development experience on one or more native app platforms, such as iOS, Android, Fire TV or Web application (using Java / Javascript / C#)
• Have significant experience working on UI development, follow UI and animation spec.
• Understand best practices for integrating native app clients with cloud services
• Comfortable with a variety of languages and frameworks, and willing to learn new ones.
• Understand best practices for performance management and improvement in software development
• Excellent debugger and problem solver.
• Experience working with video streaming is a plus
• Have experience developing Roku app using XML & Bright Script language is a plus
