Job Type: Full time
Workplace: Atlanta, GA OR Long Island, NY OR US remote
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Software Development and Testing of tools and utilities needed by the Project Teams.
• Periodic Upgrades to the Tool set used by the Project Teams (Ex: Jenkins, Rundeck, and Octopus).
• Develop Automation Scripts to automate build/deployment processes.
• Create and update build and deploy jobs to Jenkins, Rundeck, and Octopus.
• Provide Incident Management and Defect Resolution support.
• Learn and retain knowledge of business and team development processes.
• Assess technical impact and Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify fixes to the code.
• Provide Status Reporting on tasks assigned to the team.
• Provide knowledge sharing between onshore team and between members of offshore team.
• Complete assigned Service Now Tickets on maintenance and development activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Automation first approach; Windows engineering skills, Linux, systems engineering ;
• Scripting skills (Python, Powershell, Bash)
• Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Terraform, configuration management is helpful
• Upgrade Tools to Jenkins, Rundeck, and Octopus
• AWS Cloud Platform (EC2, S3 bucket, RDS, Cloud Watch, EBS, ELB, AMI, IAM, Security Groups, VPC, Subnets, Routing Tables, Internet Gateway (IGW)).
• Configuration management tool- preferred Saltstack, Ansible
• Communication skills are a must, especially being remote until further notice
These are also nice to have but definitely not a deal breaker
• Database: DB2, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB
• Middleware: Apache, Tomcat, IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere Application Server,
• Cloud Enablement, Experience in moving from on-prem to cloud desired
• Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Service Now, JIRA.
