Job Description
The position will be part of the operation support team, work under the direction of a technical lead for development, testing and support for the data platforms and data operations specifically related to systems and services for multiple divisions
- Ongoing daily operating and monitoring to defined Service Level Objectives
- Routine maintenance and patching across BI reporting systems and services including:
- Incident and Problem Management for Data platforms and domains to include formal Root Cause Analysis
- Application development, testing, deployment and warranty for remediation of production defects as required.
- Service Request Management
- Proactive recommendations on performance tuning and systematic reviews of sizing to ensure most effective use of infrastructure (with particular emphasis on AWS cost and PaaS components)
- Development of run books and system documentation in order to minimize any impact of turnover.
- Knowledge sharing between onshore and offshore resources to provide frictionless 24 X 7 support.
- Collaborate with offshore team and ensuring delivery, quality of code.
- Conducting meeting with Scrum master, development, testing and business analysts’ team in order to help with creation of Epic, User stories & Tasks and ensure quality of code through review process.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years’ experience in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence is required, and Informatica experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with Tableau
- Programming skills using PL/SQL and Shell Scripts in Linux environment
- Python development
- Strong oral communication skills
- Level – 1 troubleshooting and analysis (problem solving) skills
- Experience with tools like Jmeter or Postman to be able to apply data fixes
- Working knowledge in e.g. Splunk, Cloudwatch, NewRelic, DataDog
