Senior UX AI Designer

Job Description

Our design competency unit of FPT Software is building its “Designing for AI Advanced Team”. The team is in the heart of the action for designing leading edge AI-powered products for top global companies and major industries. If you’re an experienced senior UX designer that lives and breathes AI technologies and their constant evolution, we have an amazing role for you.

The Role

You’ll work directly with FPT Software’s world class AI center of excellence, using your design and AI expertise for working on: next generation AI based projects for our international customers; designing our innovative internally developed products and platforms, joining pre-sales and proposal activities to win new opportunities.

Not only do you work with the AI CoE, but also benefit from being part of Vietnam’s largest design team of 140 designers, built from the ground up with all the conditions for design success (design focused leadership, coaching, toolkit, processes, resources and more).

The breadth and scope of design work possibilities in this role are really exciting to those that genuinely want to grow and apply their AI product design capabilities to different industries, global brands and various form factors.

The Right Person

Someone that truly understands and embraces AI technologies to make informed decisions and novel approaches to human-AI interactions. Leverages AI advancements such as multimodal input, adaptive interfaces and agents. Can advise, ideate, research and design products that make significant use of AI technologies and capabilities. Willing to challenge the status quo of traditional application design, by considering how AI can open up new possibilities.

Capable of getting hands-on in large and complex design projects. Brings clarity and stability to design decision making process through their discovery and research capabilities. They are resourceful, adaptive, proactive, applies best practices and can work autonomously.

What’s Needed

Candidates for this role should meet most or all of the following key considerations, if you’re missing a few but have something comparable or related then please apply.

• 4-5 years of UX design experience with a successful proven track record of design projects success in mid to large scale projects
• Can confidently explain and advise on AI technologies reflecting an up to date and thorough understanding of AI’s various facets
• Portfolio with AI related projects that have clear evidence of using user-centered design principles and in-depth user research to inform design decisions, case studies involving product designs featuring AI technologies
• Well-versed in UX design process and methods including discovery, user and market research, usability testing and interaction design
• Able to facilitate design thinking workshops and ideation sessions
• Comfortable presenting, influencing and working across all levels of organization
• Service mindset, professionalism and attention to detail are essential
• Prior experience working in agency model doing customer delivery work is an asset but is not required for the position
• Fluent in verbal and written English is mandatory as you’ll be working directly with global customers

1. 1. CV and Portfolio – Submit a CV and portfolio that clearly and concisely presents your past experience, projects and approach to design, emphasizing involvement in AI related projects.
2. 2. AI Knowledge – Provide evidence as to your depth of understanding around AI technologies and your approach for designing truly AI centric products. This can be in any format that best demonstrates your capabilities.
3. 3. Interviews – A meeting with our friendly recruitment team, followed by an expected 3-4 rounds of interviews including the Head of Design, Vice Head of Design and lastly Chief AI Officer for finalist candidates.
4. 4. Finalize – Specifics of the role, compensation package and other factors are discussed with recruitment team and formal offer is made.
