Job Description
The Role
We are looking for Software QA Engineers to join a development team focused on cloud and web development. The team is focused on delivering high quality software and tools used internally to Silicon Labs and to our customers building Internet of Things (IoT) products.
You will be responsible for ensuring quality for our front and back end cloud and web based software. You will interact with members of the product and corporate marketing teams, applications engineers, stack/embedded software engineers and program management to understand requirements.
Challenges you will solve
- Ensure quality of bugs and features being released
- Support development of tools uses by hundreds of internal engineers, and thousands of customers
- Verify use cases, bug fixes and feature enhancements of cloud based software
- Ensure we are keeping up with software maintainability and
Technologies we use: Typescript, Javascript, Python, Nest.js, Vue.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, AWS, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Terraform, Docker, Git, Jira, Linux/MacOS/Windows
Skills Required
- Communicate well and work well in a small cross-functional team
- Strong software testing skills for front and back end (Selenium, Cypress, JMeter)
- Debugging skills
- Knowledge of version control systems, git
- Possess a strong sense of responsibility and an ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- We consider the following experience as a plus
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Proficient in resource management tools, Jira
- Experience with cloud-based computing and compute resource management
- Experience with embedded software development or testing
- Knowledge in programming languages or technologies outside of list above
- Data communications and networking
- Can communicate in English basically
