Job Description
The Vertical Industry Sales Consultant is responsible for developing and managing new customer opportunities across multiple vertical industries. You will conduct digital transformation assessments and interviews of the customer to understand customer needs, define solutions to address those needs and develop proposals that deliver key benefits for the customer. This position will work closely with relevant sales organizations inside FPT to lead consulting engagements and then work with our internal and external partners to achieve short, mid and long-term revenue objectives across regions and vertical industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Prepare and execute the overall strategic plan for vertical industry customer engagement
• Prospect for new business opportunities for FPT products and services
• Support FPT regional sales teams to provide vertical market consulting and solution support
• Coordinate with marketing organization to create industry-specific material based on industry user journeys
• Conduct customer digital transformation assessment & interviews to understand customer challenges and define creative solutions
• Support creation of sales proposals by including FPT products to solve vertical industry challenges
• Provide customer consulting coaching and guidance to internal teams
• Achievement of defined sales targets
• Utilize CRM tools to keep all customer engagement information up-to-date and all activities current
• Support regional sales team efforts by providing needed internal support, including but not limited to documentation, communication, setting customer expectations, and potential on-site support
• Maintain and execute management and corporate reporting needs
Job Qualification
• At least 2 years experience in consultative sales role
• At least 2 years experience of vertical industry customer engagement
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative and innovative thinker, with design thinking related experiences and certifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain solid relationships with internal and external partners
• Attention to detail
• Solid presentation skills to both individuals and group including C-level audience
• Ability to both lead a project team and also work as a productive team member
• Highly organized
• Highly self-motivated
